Katie Thurber Team of Serhant Real Estate organized an event in NYC around Beauty and Sustainability. It was inspired by an article Michael wrote for The Venetian letter, “Why is Beauty Essential for Sustainable Architecture and Design?” Michael was a panelist for this event.
“Art and Aesthetics in the Healthcare Environment” was a panel discussion with psychologist Aenne Brielmann and artist Christoph Dahlhausen moderated by Michael Spicher.
“Beauty as Resistance: Art and Story as Healing Forces in Displacement” was a panel discussion featuring Francisco Alcala Torreslanda, Juan Pablo Franco Jiménez, and Michael Spicher. It was organized by Home Grown Lab and moderated by co-founder Stephanie Acker.
“Incarcerated Artists: Forgotten by the System” published in Splice Today, December 4, 2020. It was based on Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration by Nicole Fleetwood.
